A newcomer in mental-health and therapy-matching apps, India: three things worth knowing

Who is winning, and the move

TalktoAngel published eight posts between 16 and 19 October, three of them couple-counsellor pages for Amsterdam, Croatia and Serbia, and its Croatia page offers a flat 15% off a booked session with the code CARE15. Wysa shipped version 7.2.0 on 9 October, letting users send several messages before the AI replies, and sells video therapy from Rs 1,499 beside a Rs 599 monthly Premium plan. Amaha sells a Rs 199 care guidance call as its entry step, and inaugurated a 27-bed hospital in Bengaluru in August 2025.

The nearest competitors

Two other competitors show where they are aiming. YourDOST's blog navigation leads with corporate, college and school offerings and a Book a Demo button, and the newest dated post on that blog is from 12 September 2023. Amaha's homepage promises that 93% of clients notice better sleep, more focus and fewer emotional spirals within 3-4 sessions, footnoted to internal outcome evaluations with no sample size or how it was measured.

The opening

Our read is that the strongest proof on offer is written for employers, not for the person booking. Wysa cites a peer-reviewed study of 1,213 users beside a pitch to providers, employers and payors, and MindPeers benchmarks its 3.2x return across more than 10,000 employees for HR teams and insurers, while the figures Amaha puts in front of individuals rest on internal evaluations. The opening for a newcomer is to show the individual what the employer is already shown, an outcome measured on a stated number of people, on the page where they book.
