Who is winning, and the move
Physics Wallah announced its Books app on 9 July 2026, with AI explanations of selected text, past-year NEET and JEE questions inside the book and free NCERT titles, and from 28 September to 5 October sold Lakshya NEET 2027 at Rs 2,499 with two follow-on batches free; it also published at least 11 articles on 19 October alone. Testbook sells a year of mock-test access at Rs 749 and posted ten exam alerts in about 18 hours on 20 October. ALLEN opens its homepage achievers with JEE Advanced 2026 AIR 1 and AIR 2 and sells its Achiever Online Test Series at Rs 6,480 after 10% off.

Vedantu's press release of 14 August 2026 offers up to 80% off online NEET and JEE Main courses, yet names no base price, code or end date. Unacademy's sale to upGrad was completed for just over $200 million, reported on 1 September 2026 and more than 94% below its 2021 peak, and its homepage claims over 10 crore learners with no price shown.
The opening
Our read is that Physics Wallah and ALLEN publish winners, not the full class: Physics Wallah counts 28 NEET-UG 2026 students, the best at AIR 55, and ALLEN's achievers reach back to 2025 rankers, yet neither says how many of its students sat those exams or how the rest scored. Totals explain no more: Physics Wallah claims 15 million app users, and Testbook claims 9.1 crore registered students in one place and 1.8 crore in another. A newcomer can win by publishing what these leaders leave unanswered: how many students started, how many finished, and how their scores moved over a stated period.
