A newcomer in cross-border invoicing, tax and payment acceptance for Indian SaaS exporters: three things worth knowing

Who is winning, and the move

Skydo, Xflow and Razorpay have each made a move worth noting. Skydo turned the RBI's Export Declaration Form rule, in force from 1 October 2026, into a generator that produces the form in the RBI's format at no extra cost. Xflow, which raised a $16.6M Series A in February 2026, undercuts Skydo's $19 entry fee with a flat $12 for invoices up to $2,000, and put out twelve Udyam registration posts on 16 October. Razorpay's international payments page, updated in June 2026, offers exporters 1% flat with zero forex markup.

The nearest competitors

Cashfree has offered new merchants a 0% platform fee against 1.95% since 21 July 2026, running to 31 March 2027, but the offer excludes international gateway transactions and its Global Collections price reads "Request Price". Dodo Payments published its Export Declaration Form guide on 12 October and states plainly that it cannot file the form for the merchant.

The opening

Xflow publishes named customer stories, many headlined with cost cuts from 20% to over 75%, yet its DataBrain story gives no fee amounts, while Skydo offers one founder's quote of saving INR 10,000 per transaction beside a blog banner promising "Save 50% on every international transfer" with no basis stated. Trustpilot reviewers of Skydo and Dodo complain of held payments or accounts, and Dodo explains why payouts are held in its payout guide. Our read is that a newcomer can win by publishing one real SaaS exporter's invoice, fee, rate and arrival day in full, because a buyer weighing a 40% story against a 50% banner can check neither, and by explaining a held payment as plainly as Dodo does.
