Treatments

Everything your teeth need, under one roof.

From a child's first check-up to replacing a missing tooth, each treatment is explained in plain words before it starts, and you always know what comes next.

  1. Check-ups and cleaning

A full check of your teeth and gums, a scale and polish, and X-rays only when they are needed. Most people need this twice a year.

    Book a check-up
  2. Fillings

Tooth-coloured fillings for cavities and chipped teeth, matched to the shade of your own teeth and usually done in one visit.

    Book a filling
  3. Root canal treatment

Saves a tooth that is badly decayed or infected. Done under local anaesthetic over one to three visits, and usually finished with a crown.

    Ask about a root canal
  4. Braces and clear aligners

Metal, ceramic or clear aligners for teenagers and adults, with a plan that shows how long treatment will take before you start.

    Ask about braces
  5. Implants and crowns

A fixed replacement for a missing tooth, or a crown that protects a weak or broken one, made to match the teeth around it.

    Ask about implants
  6. Children's dentistry

First visits, check-ups and protective sealants for children, in longer appointments so they can get used to the chair.

Why Konrai

Careful work you can see for yourself.

Sealed, sterilised instruments
Every instrument is cleaned, sterilised and sealed in a pouch after each patient. We open the pouch in front of you.
A written plan and cost, first
Before any treatment you get a written plan with the cost of each step. Nothing starts until you say yes, and the bill matches the plan.
Appointments that keep time
Each visit has its own slot with time to talk, so you are not left waiting. Evening appointments run until 8 pm for people who work during the day.

Your first visit

What happens when you come in.

A first visit takes about forty minutes. Most of it is talking and looking. If you need treatment, it is booked for another day, unless you are in pain.

  1. We listen first

Tell us what is bothering you, or simply that you want a check-up. Bring any old X-rays or prescriptions if you have them.

  2. We look, and show you

We examine your teeth and gums and show you what we see on a screen beside the chair, so you see it too.

  3. You get a written plan

If you need treatment, you leave with a plan in writing: what we suggest, why, how many visits it takes and what it costs.

  4. Treatment at your pace

We explain each step as we go. Raise a hand at any point and we stop.

Questions

Questions people ask us.

If yours is not here, add it to your booking note and we will answer it when we call.

How much will my treatment cost?

It depends on what you need, so we do not quote a price before we have looked. After your examination you get a written estimate for each step, and your bill matches it.

Does a root canal hurt?

The tooth is numbed before we begin, so most people feel pressure rather than pain. If you feel anything sharp, raise a hand and we stop and give it more time.

From what age do you see children?

From their first tooth. A child's first visits are short and mostly about getting comfortable in the chair, with a parent beside them.

How often should I have a check-up?

Most adults do well with a check-up and cleaning every six months. If your gums need closer care, we suggest a shorter gap and tell you why.

What if I am in pain and need to be seen today?

Book through this page and say so in your note. We keep time free every day for people in pain, and we call you back first.

Can I get a bill for my insurance claim?

Yes. You get an itemised bill and the treatment notes that insurers usually ask for.
