Who is winning, and the move
3Sisters, Misfits and Sepoy & Co. are three brands to watch in craft and nostalgia sodas. 3Sisters published a Diwali gifting guide on 17 October pushing a party gift box and bulk corporate gifting, while its Indian-flavour Indie Soda 12-can pack sells at Rs 828 against a struck Rs 1,068. Misfits closed a seed round led by Nu Ventures, reported on 10 September 2025, and sells four of its five six-packs at Rs 428. Sepoy & Co. opens with an "As seen on Shark Tank Season 5" banner and the code SHARKTANK10, and in June 2026 trade press reported its 43 percent growth across 128 cities.
The nearest competitors
Two more brands worth watching are Bombay Banta and Paper Boat's parent Hector Beverages. Bombay Banta announced an Rs 8 crore Pre-Series A led by DSG Consumer Partners on 13 May 2026, yet its own web shop shows all six packs sold out and no reviews. Hector reported in August FY26 advertising and promotion spend up 55.6 percent to Rs 28 crore while profit after tax fell 96 percent to Rs 2 crore.
The opening
Our read is that the opening in nostalgia sodas is proof on the pack, not a new flavour. Buyers do write about spiced and tangy tastes, with Misfits' mango-chilli its most-reviewed pack at 17 and a 3Sisters homepage customer naming kala khatta and imli chaska as favourites, yet Bombay Banta's packs are sold out and unreviewed and 3Sisters' five Indie Soda packs hold four reviews between them. A newcomer that keeps kala khatta or jeera soda in stock with reviews on every pack would hold evidence neither range yet shows.
